As mentioned on our previous posts, we already have 3 medical students doing their internships in NPRZ in the scope of Erasmus+ program. Our students- from Ankara University, Faculty of Medicine- have short messages for you about their experiences during their internship at NPZR in Munich. You can read the experiences of Zülal, Özgür and Necmiye below, respectively. So, if you want to do an internship in Munich through EUCON e.V., you can learn from their experiences how this fun and knowledgeable process will develop and entertain you.
Zülal Demir: “I am Zülal. I am a 5th year medical student in Ankara University. I am doing an internship in NPZR, Munich for two months. I came here with the Erasmus+ program in cooperation with the EUCON e. V.
My goal with this internship is to gain experience and to find an opportunity to use my communicational skills and knowledge as an observer and intern doctor. I have a desire to continue my professional career in Germany. I don’t want to restrict myself to my own country, I care to participate in working communities around the world.
The internship gave me an insight into the healthcare system in Germany. I also had the opportunity to learn and practice a lot of new things, such as doing and reading EEGs, applying psychiatric tests, attending group therapies and observing psychiatric patients. I am also doing a research on the relationship between psychiatric and endocrine diseases in immigrants. All these were very new and different experiences for me. I am very glad that I got involved in this project and got this chance.”
Özgür Özer: “Hello. My name is Özgür and I’m 5th grade Medical student. I came to Munich for two months with Erasmus programme. EUCON also helped me to find this internship opportunity. I learned and experienced a lot of new things during my time here. It was a very important opportunity to interact with people in a foreign country and improve my communication skills. Apart from these, I had the opportunity to see and talk to many different neurology and psychiatry patients. I also learned how to do EEGs to neurology patients and interpret their results here. At the same time, during this internship, I tried to understand the functioning of the health system in Germany. As far as I can observe here, it has strengthened my plans and desire to live in Germany for the future, as it largely met my expectations. Staying here for such a long time also helped improve my language skills. All this has been a very important support and experience for my future plans. All staff and superiors in the clinic are extremely helpful and friendly. Therefore, I am very happy to be able to do an internship here.”
